  • If you own a Formula Atlantic, or a TRS FT40 or FT50 , or a Formula Renault- YES WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR RACING

  • Yes- to race in FRNZ, you need to be a paid up competing member of the Sportscar Racing Club of NZ .

  • Simply go to Motorsport Entry, or Sporty to enter events as you usually would for any Motorsport NZ meeting. Be sure to choose Sportscars Racing Club NZ , then Formula Racing NZ as the class you wish to Enter. If that option is not available , choose Formula Libre. We will do the rest.

  • YES- you can race in the Sportscar Formula Libre class, or one of the Sportscar official classes. Alternatively, if you feel your car meets the criteria for FRNZ, contact us and we can evaluate your eligibility. Regardless, we WANT every slicks and wings car to be able to race.

  • Absolutely YES. These cars remain amongst the fasted racing cars at any event in NZ and do require previous race experience. That said, if you want to find a pathway to drive one of these amazing cars, we can help.

  • No. FRNZ is a specific class with series regulations for specific cars. Formula Libre, along with the other classes in SCRNZ , will be racing on the same grid as FRNZ, but competing for a different series.

  • Formula Racing NZ caters specifically for the pinnacle of slicks and wings racing cars in NZ. The entry fees with smaller grids meant racing these fantastic cars began to climb beyond affordability for non-professional racers in NZ. Together with SCRNZ, we joined forces, to preserve and create a cost-effective, accessible and exciting place to race.

  • Most Definitely YES. In the previous Formula Libre championship, these cars routinely raced wheel to wheel with the Sportscar class. Lap times are very similar amongst the fastest cars, and with a rolling start with no gap between classes, the fastest cars are evenly matched so there are fewer places drivers can be caught off guard.

  • YES. There are some specific conditions around this, but there are cars available to lease. We also have several cars available to Purchase. You may be surprised at how cost-effective owning one of the cars actually is. Contact us for more information.
