71st NZ Grand Prix Invitation

Hi fellow competitors, 

Following the incredibly successful NZ Historic GP held at Taupo this year, the NZ Grand Prix Management team have met with us, expressing their happiness with our class, the grid size and the support we had in showcasing the TRS and Atlantic cars, and that they wish to invite our class back next year to the Taupo Historic GP. 

Importantly, they also see our class as a perfect fit and complimentary to the New Zealand Grand Prix and have asked us to extend this to our club for feedback and interest.

The New Zealand Grand Prix is one of only Two FIA approved Grand Prix Status events in the world, outside Formula 1, and represents the absolute pinnacle of motorsport in NZ. To be invited is an incredible opportunity.

This email is to gauge interest, ideas and feedback on Formula Racing NZ entering a Grid at the 71st NZ Grand Prix-at Highlands January 29th-31st  2027.

Already we have identified some logistic needs, costs and possible solutions.  Its important that our Class provides the management team a commitment of at least 15 cars across the TRS and Atlantic classes for the NZGP. (Noting this is a quick turn around from the Historic GP at Taupo) 

There is the possibility of setting up transport/logistic, accommodation and entertainment support if feedback is positive.
