FORMULA RACING NZ SET TO RACE AT HISTORIC GRAND PRIX

Formula Racing New Zealand (FRNZ) is delighted to announce that we have been invited to join two of the most high-profile motorsport events of the summer: Newsletter Link Here

  • Taupō Historic Grand Prix – 16–18 January 2026

  • 70th New Zealand Grand Prix at Highlands – 30 January–1 February 2026

These meetings sit alongside New Zealand’s premier open-wheel championship, CTFROC, featuring top domestic and international drivers and teams, which will significantly elevate the event atmosphere and profile. With our FT40 and FT50 cars running on track with the Formula Atlantic category—and each class competing separately—this represents one of the most exciting opportunities FRNZ has had to showcase our drivers, our machinery, and our growing class in front of a national and international audience.

While this is our first year being included, we believe a strong FRNZ presence will help highlight the professionalism and potential of our category, forming the foundation for deeper involvement in future major events. There is no minimum number of entries and as such we can attend with limited cars but would like to provide the best available spectacle for our competitors and audience alike.
